Job Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Elementary Teacher.   The successful candidate will need to:

• Demonstrate fluent understanding of NYS Learning Standards;
• Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge in ELA, literacy, and mathematics;
• Maintains a recovery mindset;
• Demonstrate an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
• Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;
• Able to build a positive rapport with students and parents;
• Demonstrate the willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
• Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills;
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with colleagues with successful experience in working as part of a team;

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Childhood Education (Grades K-6)
• Institutional Recommendation – Childhood Education (Grades K-6)
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Educating All Students Test (EAS)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – Multi-Subject:  Teachers of Childhood (Grade 1-Grade 6)
• edTPA – Elementary Education or other NYSED Approved Certified Pathway
• Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act
• Fingerprint Clearance
