Job Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Secondary English Teacher.   The successful candidate will need to:

• Demonstrate fluent understanding of NYS Learning Standards;
• Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge in ELA and literacy;
• Maintains a recovery mindset;
• Demonstrate an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
• Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program – English Language Arts 7-12
• Institutional Recommendation – English Language Arts 7-12
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Educating All Students Test (EAS)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – English Language Arts or Safety Net Social Studies
• edTPA – Secondary English-Language Arts
• Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act
• Fingerprint Clearance
