Job Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Substitute Secondary School Counselor (2/10/2025-5/16/2025).   The successful candidate will need to:

• Ensures that students perform their best academically;
• Helps adolescents navigate the unique educational, social, and behavioral obstacles related to attending school;
• Consults with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance effectiveness in helping students;
• Guide students through the development of educational and career plans;
• Consults with other professional staff and outside agencies and other organizations;
• Monitors student academic performance, behavior, and attendance and facilitates appropriate interventions.

• Completion of NYS Registered Program – School Counselor
• Institutional Recommendation – School Counselor
• Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act
• Fingerprint Clearance
