Job Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Business and Marketing Teacher.   The successful candidate will need to:

• Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge of business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and finance;
• Ability to integrate real-world applications and assist students in developing practical skills and essential work habits;
• Exhibit an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;
• Exhibit willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
• Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;
• Build a positive rapport with students and families;
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of a team; 
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; and 
• Make a strong commitment to professional learning and a growth mindset.

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Business and Marketing
• Institutional Recommendations – Business and marketing
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Education All Students Test (EAS)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – Business and Marketing or Safety Net Business and Marketing
• Workshop - Dignity for All Students Act
• Workshop – Child Abuse Identification (Updated 2025)
• OR Other NYSED Approved Certification Pathway
• Fingerprint Clearance
