Job Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Physical Education Teacher.   The successful candidate will need to:

• Exemplary instructional, classroom management, and organization skills;
• Willingness and enthusiasm to get involved beyond the classroom through coaching and attending student sporting events;
• Leadership, devotion to excellence, and the ability to build a positive rapport with students and parents;
• Willingness to work with different learning styles and student needs;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

• Strong commitment to professional learning and growth mindset;
• Ability to lay the foundation for a healthy student lifestyle including the benefits of good nutrition and regular exercise;

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Physical Education
• Institutional Recommendation – Physical Education
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Educating All Students Test (EAS)
• Content Specialty Test (CST) – Physical Education or Safety Net Physical Education
• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification (Second Update)
• Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act
• Fingerprint Clearance
