The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for an Assistant Director of Special Programs and Services.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Assist with supervision, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Special Education Program/Department, Pre-K through Grade 12;
  • Assist with the facilitation, evaluation, and delivery of the continuum of services for students with disabilities, including in-district and out-of-district;
  • Work collaboratively with the administrative team to coordinate the implementation of curriculum and instruction, professional development, transportation, and scheduling;
  • Chair CPSE/CSE/504 meeting, as needed;
  • Assist with supervision and evaluation of Pupil Support Staff, Related Services Providers, and contracted/itinerant staff;
  • Assist with supervision and evaluation of teachers according to the District’s APPR plan;
  • Assist with McKinney Vento Act and Foster Care responsibilities;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
