The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a School Business Administrator.   The successful candidate will need to:

Acts as an assistant to the Superintendent of Schools, serves as a member of the Superintendent of Schools’ cabinet and central staff, and acts as principal adviser to the Superintendent of Schools in matters associated with school business affairs. 

The School Business Administrator’s job duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Coordinating the views of administrators, teachers, parents, and community members in translating the educational needs of students and the aspirations of the community into a composite financial plan.
  • Administering the budget and control the day-to-day expenditures of the District in order to keep within the preplanned limits.
  • Establishing and supervising the accounting system necessary to provide school officials and administrators with accurate financial facts to inform policies and decisions.
  • Serving an active role in management of capital construction projects.
  • Providing the proper safeguards for the custody of public funds and makes possible complete and revealing reporting for both local and statewide purposes.
  • Serving in an active role for collective negotiations with the unions.
  • Negotiating and administering contracts with outside agencies and contractors.
  • Developing suggested policy revisions in keeping with appropriate laws in fund accounting, including extra classroom and other public funds.
  • Recruiting personnel for all positions in the area of school business management.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of Human Resources functions.
  • Developing policies and procedures for personnel matters in accordance with laws.
  • Oversight of the following operational departments and directors: Transportation, Facilities, and Food Service.
  • Completing other duties and fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.

Night Shift Cleaner - 5 Positions AvailableDIS26-27

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Night Shift Cleaner - 5 positions available.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well with co-workers;
  • Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks;
  • Cheerful can-do attitude and the ability to perform well without direct supervision;
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors;
  • Dust woodwork, furniture, and other equipment;
  • Wash walls and windows;
  • Clean bathrooms;
  • Arrange chairs, tables, and other equipment for special use of buildings;
  • Lock down and secure work area;
  • Other duties as assigned by the building custodian and/or supervisor.
Starting at $16.30/hour plus $0.75 differential
Substitute Cleaner - Flexible Hours - Multiple OpeningsDIS5.2026

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute Cleaners - Flexible Hours (day or night shift).  The successful candidate's duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and waxing floors;
  • Dust woodwork, furniture, and other equipment;
  • Wash walls and windows;
  • Clean rest rooms;
  • Arrange chairs, tables, and other equipment for special use of buildings;
  • Lock down and secure work area;
  • Perform work as directed by building custodian and or supervisor.

 

$16.50 per hour plus $0.50 differential after 3pm
Teacher Aide - 2 positionsDIS12.2025
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for a Teacher Aide - 2 positions .  The successful candidates will need to have the:
  • Ability to monitor a student with special needs within a general or special education classroom; 
  • Ability to implement specific interventions identified as a need on a student’s behavior intervention plan or IEP; 
  • Ability to foster independent opportunities for students to socialize appropriately with peers; 
  • Experience and understanding in implementing IEP goals as a member of a team; 
  • Experience in working with different learning styles and learning needs; 
  • Experience with the needs of students with disabilities (Autism, ADHD, sensory regulation) a plus; 
  • Eagerness to learn and work with a variety of teachers and personnel.

Substitute Registered Nurse (RN)DIS7.2025-9
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute Registered Nurses (RN) .  The successful candidate will need to: 
  • Provision of health services to students with acute or chronic health problems;
  • Maintenance of confidential health records for students and staff;
  • Oversees the emotional, mental, physical, and social health of students under a variety of school circumstances;
  • Conducts screenings and written referrals for health services;
  • Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle medical emergencies;
  • Ensure compliance with national and local health laws;
  • Work collaboratively with administration, staff, families, and students.
$155.00 per day
Substitute Teacher AideDIS7.2025-8
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute Teacher Aides.  The successful candidate will need to have the:
  • Ability to monitor a student with special needs and mobility issues within the general education classrooms
  • Ability to implement specific interventions identified as a need on a student’s behavior intervention plan or IEP

Substitute School Monitor (Cafeteria)DIS7.2025-7

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute School Monitors (Cafeteria).   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Supervise and support students during mealtimes;
  • Assist with the flow of student traffic into and out of the cafeteria;
  • Ensure that the cafeteria rules and regulations are being followed;
  • Assist with cleaning cafeteria tables, chairs, and floors.
$15.50 per hour
