The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for an Elementary School Social Worker.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Connecting students and families with school and community-based resources;
  • Identify and promote internal use of community-based services directly and in a consultation role;
  • Providing case management for students and families requiring multiple resources;
  • Providing school-based counseling per IEP, 504 or student support plan;
  • Promote social-emotional well-being of students in classrooms, lunch groups, restorative practices, etc.;
  • Support the implementation of functional behavioral assessment and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with other mental health professionals;
  • Respond as needed in crisis situations;
  • Participate in IEP, 504 meetings, building team meetings;
  • Serve as member of Pupil Support Office Team;
  • Utilize data to monitor attendance, behavior, academics and collaborate with building team, families and students on appropriate interventions to ensure students remain on-track;
  • Lead attendance monitoring, reporting, and outreach efforts;
  • Collaborate with school counselors on fostering community partnerships in the region for career exploration.
Starting at $50,294.00.00 per year with Masters
Food Service HelperDIS9.2026

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Food Service Helper.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Ability to work well with others;
  • Ability to follow directions;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve while maintaining a professional and even temperament;
  • Provide exceptional service to all students and staff at Midlakes;
  • Good attendance record;
  • Physical and mental condition commensurate with the demands of the position;
  • Must follow all food safety and sanitation regulations;
  • Prior food service experience preferred, but not required.
Starting at $16.30 per hour
Probationary Speech Language Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist - 2 PositionsMES9.2026

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has multiple openings for a Probationary Speech Language Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.   The successful candidates will need to:

  • Experience with speech/language instruction in an elementary and/or preschool/Universal Pre-Kindergarten setting;
  • Experience with speech/language instruction in a special education setting;
  • Experience and willingness to co-instruct/co-teach young learners with general education or special education teachers in an elementary setting;
  • Strong knowledge base of speech and language developmental milestones;
  • Specialty in phonemic awareness skills and signs of apraxia preferred;
  • Training and qualification to instruct in IEP goals;
  • Experience and willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;
  • Must be able to support a skills-based program of reading and writing instruction;
  • Must be able to support and work in a team-learning classroom setting;
  • Experience with Medicaid reimbursement.
