The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Bus Dispatcher.  The job will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Assist in determining bus routes, schedules, and scheduling drivers;
  • Operate radio equipment to dispatch buses and drivers to assigned routes;
  • Make necessary arrangements to provide transportation services for special projects and special occasions;
  • Prepare drivers with daily bulletins containing information on changes in assignments, as well as new driving assignments;
  • Perform clerical tasks in connection with the work of the department including, but not limited to, record and file complaints and accident reports, keep records relative to bus drivers for payroll purposes, maintain necessary financial records, and keep records of daily mileage, times, and incidents when operating vehicles;
  • Efficiently operate a school bus under all driving and road conditions;
  • Calmly and efficiently perform in emergency situations;
  • Excellent knowledge of driving safety practices as well as traffic laws and regulations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Extensive knowledge on the operation and maintenance of two-way communication radio and telephone systems;
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Starting Salary of $22.27 per hour
Teacher Aide - 2 positionsDIS9.2025
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for 2 Teacher Aides.  The successful candidate will need to have the:
  • Ability to monitor a student with special needs within a general or special education classroom; 
  • Ability to implement specific interventions identified as a need on a student’s behavior intervention plan or IEP; 
  • Ability to foster independent opportunities for students to socialize appropriately with peers; 
  • Experience and understanding in implementing IEP goals as a member of a team; 
  • Experience in working with different learning styles and learning needs; 
  • Experience with the needs of students with disabilities (Autism, ADHD, sensory regulation) a plus; 
  • Eagerness to learn and work with a variety of teachers and personnel.

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Laborer.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well with co-workers;
  • Cheerful can-do attitude and the ability to perform well without direct supervision;
  • Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks;
  • Ability to lift heavy weights;
  • Willingness to work under all weather conditions;
  • Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position;
  • Experience operating equipment including, but not limited to, snowplows, forklifts, large area mowers, string trimmers, and tractors;
  • Basic mechanical skills with the willingness to expand those skills with on-the-job training;
  • Able to be on call for snow removal during winter months;
  • Able to work occasional over-time; potentially including evenings and weekends;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Custodian and/or Director of Facilities.

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Food Service Helper.   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Ability to work well with others;
  • Ability to follow directions;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve while maintaining a professional and even temperament;
  • Provide exceptional service to all students and staff at Midlakes;
  • Good attendance record;
  • Physical and mental condition commensurate with the demands of the position;
  • Must follow all food safety and sanitation regulations;
  • Prior food service experience preferred, but not required.

Substitute Licensed Nurse (RN)DIS7.2024-9
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute Licensed Nurses (RN) .  The successful candidate will need to: 
  • Provision of health services to students with acute or chronic health problems;
  • Maintenance of confidential health records for students and staff;
  • Oversees the emotional, mental, physical, and social health of students under a variety of school circumstances;
  • Conducts screenings and written referrals for health services;
  • Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle medical emergencies;
  • Ensure compliance with national and local health laws;
  • Work collaboratively with administration, staff, families, and students.
$150.00 per day
Substitute Teacher AideDIS7.2024-7

Substitute School Monitor (Cafeteria)DIS7.2024-6

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute School Monitors (Cafeteria).   The successful candidate will need to:

  • Supervise and support students during mealtimes;
  • Assist with the flow of student traffic into and out of the cafeteria;
  • Ensure that the cafeteria rules and regulations are being followed;
  • Assist with cleaning cafeteria tables, chairs, and floors.
$15.50 per hour
Substitute CleanerDIS7.2024-1

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has openings for Substitute Cleaners.  The successful candidate's duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and waxing floors;
  • Dust woodwork, furniture, and other equipment;
  • Wash walls and windows;
  • Clean rest rooms;
  • Arrange chairs, tables, and other equipment for special use of buildings;
  • Lock down and secure work area;
  • Perform work as directed by building custodian and or supervisor.

 

$16.00 per hour plus $0.50 differential after 3pm
